Kennedy was shot once in the upper back, once on his head. He was carried to the Parkland Memorial Hospital but was announced dead at 1 pm, the same day. He had only been in Dallas for less than an hour. Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested a little later in the back of a movie theatre.
