Pakistan and other Muslim countries like Bangladesh are vowing to stop using French products and goods after the French President Emmanuel Macron stated that Islam is a “religion in crisis.”

The Turkish PM responded saying “the person in charge of France has lost his way. He goes on about Erdogan all day. Look at yourself first and where you are going…he is a case and he really must be checked up.”

In support to this statement, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan tweeted that Macron decided “to encourage Islamophobia by attacking Islam rather than the terrorists” and further staying that Emmanuel Macron also chose “to deliberately provoke Muslims, including own citizens.”

Since then, Islamic countries have had protests calling to boycott French products since France was marginalising their community and disrespecting their religion.

"We are calling off our protests after the government signed an agreement that it will officially endorse boycotting French products," Ejaz Ashrafi, a protester announced.

In the past, France (which is a secular country) had been accused of targeting Muslims and minorities in the country, and in 2004 France banned Burqa and Hijab in public areas, and Arab activists and people scolded this decision.
