Also called the Pearl Harbour day, The National Pearl Harbour Remembrance day is a national day celebrated every year in the United States, that honours the people who had lost their lives on December 7th, 1941. On this day, Japan had attacked Pearl Harbour (US Naval Base in Honolulu, Hawaii), and damaged several battleships, and sank the USS Arizona and USS Oklahoma.

In the attack of the Pearl Harbour, Japanese fighters came to the base, and destroyed several battleships and over 300 airplanes. More than 2400 Americans were reported as casualties, along with 1000 wounded. The following day, The U.S. declared war on Japan, and entered a military alliance with China.
